SCHEDULE OF SESSIONS
We will start the Reading on Nov. 17th.
Come with a page of preparation:
- Who is Roald DAHL;
- Who plays in the Mathilda Movie, who is the stage director, did it get any special awards;
- Each chapter will be presented by a group of two and you will be able to assess their performance. You have to read the text as well so as to do your part of the job: ask them any vocabulary point you need clarified! Presentation is made by a group of two or three students who should:
- Summarize the chapter and present the characters who appear in this chapter. Discuss the themes in each chapter (such as education, selfishness, hypocrisy, schools…). The mark will be based on: Vocabulary (1pt), Grammar (1point), ideas (2 points), original presentation (2points);
- all the class has to answer questions 1-2-3 BEFORE YOU READ P. 39

24 November : No class, you’ll be going to the Cité des Métiers with your Teachers.

RECAP and short test with the book. You will get one of the writing questions p. 45.
Homework assignment 300 words about Mathilda: summarize the book, give the words that you have learnt during the reading, choose one character that you will describe more specifically and give your opinion about him or her, imagine him or her in 30 years time.
